Upholstery overdose: Know when to say when!

When looking for our first Upholstery Overdose canidates I found this!

Im not sure if curtains with tie backs are a safe as doors......but make for easy in and outs for sure!

Can't you just see yourself sitting here at a drive in? 

Who doesnt just love some pom-pom trim?

I have seen bucket seats, cab seats etc......but never this?

Hoarders: Behind the scenes

Ok it's official......I have way too many "things" in my life right now! Im looking around my living room and wondering why in the world does someone need this much stuff and how in the world did it get here?  Well dear folks this is how it got here. I have been working as a showroom designer/ product designer for some time now and over the years have found it hard not to pick up treasures along the way.  For a couple of years I felt like I was in a Fedex or USPS every other week shipping some insainly large fragile lamp or sculpture back home to North Carolina.  One year it seemed like all I was into was over-the-top scale ceramic oddities.....Who doesn't want a  four foot long white ceramic tortoise romaing around your living room?  Here are some pics of my place. 

Skeeter, one of my two cats.....they are brother and sister...and are a constant hair factory.

Copper looking very darpper.  Here is where the majority of the hair comes from.  But worth it.....they are sooo sweet and have been in my family for 12 yrs. I promise not to turn this into a post of cat pics! 

Ok so back to pics of my living room.....the way things use to look.

I have recently started a redo of the living room.....the walls use to be grey beige....right now they have two coats of Kilz...waiting for me to finalize a color.

Ok.....Houston we have a problem.......here is a old picture from several years ago of the same area....You can see collections starting to take over. Must simplifiy!

Woe....I have way to many ideas going on in this one spot. Luckily the was from some time ago.....
